Log
This Router can record the access actions of either LAN hosts or WAN hosts. Users can check these logs through the 'View Logs' page or by using the 'LogViewer' Windows application.
- You can activate this function by enabling the Log option.
- Clicking the 'Incoming Access Log' button displays the WAN hosts access log that includes the WAN host IP and the port number.
- Clicking the 'Outgoing Access Log' button displays the LAN hosts access log that includes the LAN host IP, destination URL or IP and the service or port number.
- Clicking the 'View Logs' button displays all logs that include system logs, access logs, firewall logs and VPN logs.
- The Router can send the log messages to the host on the LAN side. If you want to use 'LogViewer' to record the log messages, you can execute the LogViewer on one PC located on the LAN side and enter the PC's IP Address in Send Log to. The Router will send the log messages to this PC. Otherwise, it will broadcast the log messages to the default IP address 255.
System Log: Including Cold/Warm start, WAN connection type, Web login message. Also shows the traffic that violates packet filter setting.
Access Log: Show all outgoing and incoming traffic passing through Router.
Firewall Log: The logs come from Firewall function. It shows an alert for DoS Attack and a warning that there is a violation to the filter setting.
VPN Log: The logs come from the VPN module. It shows the IKE negotiation process.
