Wireless |
Select Enabled, if you want to enable
the Wireless Radio on the device. To disable wireless,
select Disabled. |
Network
Mode |
You may choose
Mixed if you have both 802.11b and 802.11g on your
network. If you would like to restrict your network to only
802.11b or 802.11g clients, then choose Wireless-B Only
or Wireless-G Only mode. |
Network Name (SSID) |
The SSID is the
unique name shared among all PCs in your network. The SSID
must be the same for all the PCs on the network in order for
them to communicate with each other. |
Channel |
The channel
determines which frequency your network will operate in. If
you are experiencing poor performance, try changing to another
channel.
Note: if you are using
Wireless Incoming connection type, the Wireless LAN channel
will be set to the same channel as the wireless incoming
connection device setting. |
SSID Broadcast |
SSID broadcast
enables the access point to identify itself as an available
network to network scans. If you do not wish to announce the
SSID to other devices, select Disabled |
Current Encryption |
This section tells you they type
of wireless security is configured on the Access
Point. |
SES Button |
You have two options to initiate
the SecureEasySetup wireless security. One option is to
setup through the SES button on the front panel of your Access
Point. The other option is to use the SES button displayed on
this page. You can click the green SES button to initiate the
setup. You will have 2 minutes to push the SES soft
button on your wireless client for connection. For Non-SES
client adapters, go to the Wireless Security and write down
the passphrase generated by SES. You will have to enter
the passphrase manually for your client adapter.
Click the Reset Security
button to clear the SES security key and prepare to configure
your wireless clients. Follow the onscreen
instructions. Once you reset, you will have to
reconfigure all the client adapters.
