  • Transmission Rate

The rate of data transmission should be set depending on the speed of your wireless network. You can select from a range of transmission speeds, or you can select Auto to have the Bridge automatically use the fastest possible data rate and enable the Auto-Fallback feature. Auto-Fallback will negotiate the best possible connection speed between the Wireless AP and the wireless Bridge.

    Authentication Type

Select the type of authentication used when connecting to an access point.
'Auto' is the default setting. It will automatically choose between Open or Shared key.
'Open' is used so any device can connect to the Bridge during authentication.
'Shared key' is used during authentication when both devices you are connecting share the same encryption key.

    RTS Threshold

Transmitted wireless packets larger than this size will use the RTS/CTS protocol to
(a)maintain performance in noisy wireless networks and
(b)prevent hidden nodes from degrading performance.

    Fragmentation Threshold

Transmitted wireless packets larger than this size will be fragmented to maintain performance in noisy wireless networks.

    Cloning Mode

In "Auto" mode, the Bridge will clone the device connected to the Ethernet Port. This is the MAC Address of the Bridge as seen by the Access Point and other wireless devices. When more than one device will be connected to the Bridge (example: through a switch), you can select 'Manual' and enter the MAC Address that you wish the Bridge to clone.

Check all the values and click Apply to save your settings.
