Status Tab / DSL Connection


The DSL Connection screen on the Status Tab displays the status of your DSL connection.

Click the Refresh button to update the data displayed on screen.

DSL Connection

Modulation Type

The DSL modulation mode of the Gateway is displayed.

Status

This indicates whether or not the DSL link is currently connected.

Provider

The name of the service provider is displayed.

Downstream Rate

This shows the download speed (for traffic from the Internet to this device) of the DSL connection.

Upstream Rate

This shows the upload speed (for traffic from this device to the Internet) of the DSL connection. For ADSL connections, the upstream rate is typically 25% of the downstream rate.

Downstream Noise Margin

For downstream noise, the number of decibels (dB) is displayed.

Upstream Noise Margin

For upstream noise, the number of dB is displayed.

Downstream Attenuation

For downstream traffic, the amount of signal loss is displayed.

Upstream Attenuation

For upstream traffic, the amount of signal loss is displayed.

Downstream Power

For downstream power, the number of decibels (referencing a millivolt) is displayed.

Uptream Power

For upstream power, the number of decibels (referencing a millivolt) is displayed.

Total Bytes Sent

The number of bytes sent is displayed.

Total Bytes Reveived

The number of bytes received is displayed.
 
PVC Connection

Index

Index number of VC instances.
 

Status

The current status of the selected VC.
 

Link Type

Link Type of VC, supported link types are:
  • "EoA" (RFC2684 bridged Ethernet over ATM)
  • "IPoA" (RFC2684 routed IP over ATM)
  • "PPPoA" (RFC2364 PPP over ATM)
 

PVC

PVC address comprised of VPI/VCI value for this VC.

Encapsulation

This displays the Encapsulation method of the VC (e.g. IPoA, RFC 1483 Routed, PPPoE).

Multiplexing

The multiplexing method is either LLC or VC.

Qos

This will indicate UBR, CBR, or VBR-rt and VBR-nrt.

Pcr Rate

This displays the current Pcr Rate. If using UBR above, this rate is determined automatically.

Scr Rate

This displays the current Scr Rate. If the Qos value is UBR or CBR, this rate is determined automatically.

Click the Refresh button to update the data displayed on screen.
