• Filters

    By using the Filters screen, you can configure the router to block specific internal users from accessing the Internet. You can set up different filters for different users based on their IP addresses or their network Port number.
    You can also set some options which apply to all users.

    To Modify the Filter Settings

    1. Enter the range of IP addresses that you want to filter into the IP address range fields. The users who have these IP addresses will not be able to access the Internet.
    2. You can filter users by entering their network port number. Select the protocols and enter the range of port numbers and that you want to filter into the port number range fields. The users who have these port numbers will not be able to access the Internet.
  • Private MAC Filter

    This features allows you to prevent certain users from accessing the Internet. To use this feature:

    1. Click the "Edit MAC Filter Setting" button to open the MAC address sub-window.
    2. Select the appropriate group of MAC addresses. Up to 50 MAC addresses can be entered, but only 10 are shown on screen at any time.
    3. Enter the MAC (hardware) addresses of the PCs that you want to filter. These PCs will not be able to access the Internet.
    4. Click the Apply button to save any changes.
  • Block WAN Request

    This feature is designed to prevent users from attacking through the internet. When it is enabled, the router will drop both the unaccepted TCP request and ICMP packets from WAN site. The hacker will not find the router by pinging the WAN IP address.

  • IPSec Pass Through, PPTP Pass Through

    This router is able to support IPSec and PPTP pass through. You can select either "Enable" or "Disable"of these options to switch them.

  • Remote Management

    This router has ability to support remote management, from the Internet. If you wanted to manage this router through the WAN connection, you have to select "Enable" for this option and use the specified port (default is 8080) on your PC to remotely manage this router.
    e.g. (assuming your Internet IP address was 123.123.123.123)
