Upgrade the firmware to get new features or fixes.  The firmware is basically a software specifically designed for this hardware. 

Please Select a file to update field is used to enter the path and name of the binary file for the Router. Click Browse to choose the firmware you downloaded and extracted.  Updated firmware can be found at http://www.linksys.com/.  Once you have selected the file, click Upgrade to start upgrading.  If the upgrade fails, make sure you do the following:

1. Make sure you have the correct firmware for theRouter you are using.

2. Try upgrading the Router again before rebooting the computer or turn off the Router.
