• Filters

    By using the Filters screen, you can configure the router to block specific internal users from accessing the Internet, or specific Internet services based on port number.

    To Modify the Filter Settings

    1. Enter the range of IP addresses that you want to filter into the IP address range fields. The users who have these IP addresses will not be able to access the Internet.
    2. You can filter Internet services by entering port number of the service you would like to filter. Enter the range of port numbers that you want to filter into the port number range fields.
    3. You can also filter users by entering their physical address. Click the "Edit MAC Filter Setting" button and enter the MAC addresses that you want to filter into the MAC address fields. The users with the filtered MAC addresses will not be able to access the Internet.
    4. Click the Apply button to save any changes.

  • Block WAN Request

    This feature is designed to prevent users from attacking from the Internet. When enabled, the router will ignore both unknown TCP and ICMP packets from WAN site. The router will be hidden from potential hacking attacks from the Internet.

  • Remote Management

    This router has ability to support remote configuration across the Internet. To allow management of the router through the WAN connection, you have to select "Enable" for this option and use port 8080 on the remote PC from the Internet.

  • Remote Upgrade

    To allow upgrades of the router's firmware through the WAN connection, this option must be enabled.

  • Telnet Configuration

    This option allows enabling or disabling telnet access to the device.
