Help - SoloLink DDNS

Use this feature to access the Compact Wireless-G Internet Video Camera from a remote location.

ATTENTION - To complete the SoloLink DDNS Service setup, port forwarding needs to be configured in your router. Click here to learn how to configure port forwarding on the Linksys Router - http://www.linksys.com/portfwd

SoloLink DDNS

User Name Enter the user name you provided when you registered with the SoloLink DDNS Service.

Password Enter your password for the SoloLink DDNS Service.

Your Domain Enter the Domain Name allocated to you by the SoloLink DDNS Service. If you registered jdoe as your unique name, then your domain is: jdoe.ourlinksys.com.

Device Name Enter the Device Name registered with the SoloLink DDNS Service. Remember that to access your camera, you need to have the device name in front of your Domain. For example: if your device name is cam1, then the URL you would use to access the camera would be: cam1.jdoe.ourlinksys.com
Note: If this is your second camera that you are adding to your SoloLink DDNS Service, make sure that you enter a different device name. For example: cam2.jdoe.ourlinksys.com

WAN Port Enter the number of the available port that can be used for the SoloLink DDNS Service. This should be the same as the Alternate Port set on the Options screen. If you are setting up a second Camera, make sure that it is assigned to a different port than that of your first device.
Note: If this is your second camera which you are adding to your SoloLink DDNS Service, make sure that you enter a different port number than that of your first Camera. Don't forget to set port forwarding as well.

DDNS Service Update Choose the desired time for the service update.

Status

Status Displays the status for the Camera's use of the SoloLink DDNS Service.

Adding Additional Devices to your SoloLink DDNS Service

NOTE: If you are adding additional devices (for example, a second Camera) to your SoloLink DDNS Service, enter your SoloLink User Name, Password, and Your Domain in the SoloLink DDNS Page. Make sure the second Camera uses a device name and WAN port different than what the first Camera uses. Click the "Apply" button to register the new device. You also need to add another port forwarding entry on the Linksys Router for this new device.
