Device Settings
Firmware Version The version number of the firmware currently installed is displayed here. Firmware should only be upgraded from the Help screen if you experience problems with the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera. Visit www.linksys.com to find out if there is updated firmware.
MAC Address This displays the MAC Address for the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera.
Device ID This displays the ID for the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera. This is used by the Setup Wizard and the Viewer and Recorder Utility to identify the Camera. 
Camera Name Enter the preferred name for the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera.  It must not exceed 15 alphanumeric characters.
Description This field is used for entering a description, such as the location of the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera.  Entering a description will help you identify the Camera. It must not exceed 32 alphanumeric characters.
Date Select the current month and day, and enter the current year.
Time Enter the current time.
Time Zone Choose the time zone for your location from the drop-down list.
Network Time Protocol Check the box to enable the NTP feature.  If enabled, the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera will contact a network time server at regular intervals and update its internal clock.
If your location is currently using Daylight Savings, you have to enable the NTP feature first in order to use the Check here to adjust the current time for daylight saving function. You must UNCHECK this checkbox when Daylight Saving is over.

LAN Settings
Configuration Type Select "Obtain Address Automatically (DHCP)" if your network has a DHCP server.
If you choose "Fixed IP Address", you must configure the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway and DNS.

IP Address – Assign an IP address that is unique to your local network. There's no need to purchase a separate IP address from your ISP.

Subnet Mask – The Subnet Mask (also known as IP Mask) must be the same as the Subnet Mask set on the other devices on your Ethernet (wired) network.

Gateway - Enter the IP address of your network's Gateway.

DNS - The Primary DNS address is required, while the Secondary DNS is optional. Use the same value(s) as the one(s) used by PCs on your LAN. Normally, your ISP will recommend a DNS.

Wireless Settings
SSID The SSID is the network name shared among all devices in a wireless network. The SSID must be identical for all devices in the wireless network. It is case-sensitive and must not exceed 32 alphanumeric characters, which may be any keyboard character. Make sure this setting is the same for all devices in your wireless network. For added security, Linksys recommends that you change the default SSID (linksys) to a unique name of your choice.
Network Type Select Infrastructure mode if you are connecting the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera to a network access point. Select Ad-Hoc mode if the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera  is connecting directly to a PC or notebook.
Channel No Select the appropriate channel from the list provided to correspond with your network settings, between 1 and 13 (in Europe). All devices in your wireless network must use the same channel in order to function correctly.
Note: In Infrastructure mode, you cannot specify a channel setting on the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera. It will automatically be configured to the station you are connecting the Wireless-G Internet Video Camera to.
Security The Wireless Security feature protects your data by encrypting your data before transmission.

To enable the Wireless Security feature (data encryption), click the Enable radio button. Then click the Edit Security Settings button to configure the security settings. To disable data encryption, keep the default setting, Disable.
